Aerockbics 2: Back In Black

Finally it is done!

Aerockbics Night 2 is starting on 18th May at Wrangthorne Hall, and will be every Wednesday thereafter at 7pm. Finally all the workaholics and people who are busy on Mondays - although God only knows what you're all doing -will finally get a chance to *ROCK OUT* Aerockbics style!

Wrangthorne Hall is attached to the big church on Hyde Park Corner, just round the corner from the Night & Day (is it still called that? so long since I was a student...). You know, it's on that road you sometimes drive down and then realise it's a dead end. And then have to do a twenty-five point turn at the bottom, Austin Powers style. THAT ONE! It looks a tiny bit like a scout hut from the outside -and the inside too- and I can't wait to make it our second home.

Some serious promotion needed to make this night as popular as our Mondays are at the minute, so if you have any friends who you think might fancy joining in.... spread the gospel! It's down to you guys that the night has been such a success so far, so I can only thank you again for your continued support. You rule, you know that. I'm going to drum up a little press coverage too, so that will help...And I'm still threatening to do a flash mob now that sun is shining!

Anyway, that's all from me for now. Can't wait to break the news to my duty manager that I have to cut down my shifts so I can take our Wednesday nights! YESSSSS

Aerockbics: 101

Rock music and aerobics. A force of endorphin-fuelled nature not to be underestimated.

I mean, it's no wonder we're all sick of the horrible music played down at the gym. Why should having awesome music taste and being into fitness be mutually exclusive? Let's face it, rocking out on the treadmill to AC/DC is only going to cut it for so long before you get tired and bored and in need of some company.

In need of a PIT!

Starting up Aerockbics now seems to me almost like a "D'OH!" moment. Why didn't I do this a year ago when I first qualified in fitness?? Answer: because I simply had NO IDEA how amazing and fun it would be. It's the class I always wanted to go to, and now it exists, and it works on every level I hoped it would. And more. It genuinely works for all fitness levels, the routines are good enough to get people pulling them out at their local rock disco, and it's a social, friendly class where you can actually meet people with common interests and have a laugh.

Now the only thing left frustrating me is how to get this out to a wider audience....

We're rolling out to two nights a week (hopefully) in May, adding a later class for our worker bees. It's time to spread the word and get both classes FULL. Business conundrum: I find it frustrating the way everyone who actually *comes* to the class loves it, but it's so tough to get people down there in the first place. I understand that our 6pm class may not suit some people's schedule, but what about all the others? Fear of the new? Just don't fancy it? Or... are the rumours true.... people who like good music just aren't into fitness? It's a wacky theory, but one a thousand big chain gyms confirm with their BAG O' SHITE playlists. Hmmm. Maybe my promotion and advertising just sucks.

Will keep mulling on't... now the weather's nicer maybe a outdoors session in Hyde Park on a weekend would be a smart publicity move!

...until then \M/
